My secret ambition? It’s my English

My secret ambition? It's my English

Everybody knows that Britons don't like learning foreign languages. In contrast, we –Poles -like it. In primary school most of us preferred English than other lessons. I have never told it aloud but my secret ambition is to know English as well as my native Polish language. Maybe it's not easy to do it but who knows…

I've been learning English since 1995. Few month ago I passed FCE exam. Now I am preparing for CAE exam in TFLS school. I go to English course twice a week – on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And this course seems to be a good way to achieve my goal.

Meanwhile I watch English speaking movies and TV programs. Especially CNN and BBC channels seem to be extraordinarily interesting . I really love TV news.

I've been once in England. I had there a good opportunity to speak with Britons. I could improve my speaking skill by talking to people. I used to read newspapers, magazines and leaflets.

Now in Poland I often use English, for example in my work or at my university. I think fluent English is nowadays more important than university knowledge. I hope one day I will speak English as fluent as Englishmen. Indeed in today's world knowing English is nothing special but being perfect at English is still rare.
