The landscape looking from the train seems quite peaceful. There are little farms, and quiet hamlets...people going here and there on a bicycle, kids playing, interesting shapes the houses... Yes, you are in Poland.

Wieliczka Salt Mine

Thirty minutes outside of Krakow lies the 700-year-old Wieliczka Salt Mine . If touring a salt mine isn't high on your list of things to do, well, you should re-evaluate your list. Visitors descend hundreds of meters below ground on foot to explore the mine on guided tours. The most thrilling part of the tour is the exit from the mine, which involves a speedy, pitch-black ride in a caged mine elevator.

Suwalki

Suwałki Region is a small region around the city of Suwałki in northeastern Poland near the border with Lithuania. The territory was disputed between Poland and Lithuania after World War I. This region has many lakes and forests, however is considered a relatively undeveloped region in Poland. And this is the reason why it could be so interesting for you.

The Augustów Canal

The Augustów Canal is a cross-border canal built in the 19th century in present-day north-eastern Poland and north-western Belarus. It is a navigable watershed canal, linking the Vistula River with the Neman River. It is a conservation protection zone proposed by Poland for inscription onto the World Heritage List of UNESCO.
